What is vaping?
Vaping is what you do when you inhale and exhale the vapour produced by an e-cigarette or similar device. It’s called vaping because e-cigarettes do not produce smoke like cigarettes, but rather an aerosol or vapour.
How do vaping devices work?
All vaping devices work in the same basic way: a battery powers a heating element that turns a liquid solution known as vape juice into a vapour. Different devices apply these principles in differing ways - and it’s surprising just how many variants have been created from such a simple concept.

I’ve heard that vaping is less harmful than smoking. Is this true?
Research by Public Health England showed that vaping may be over 95% less harmful than smoking tobacco cigarettes. While considered much safer than cigarettes, there are still some health concerns.
Most of the harm caused by cigarettes, including cancer, comes from tar. There is no tar in vaping liquids.
Many of the e-liquids used in vaping devices contain nicotine.
What is diacetyl?
Along with acetoin, diacetyl is the chemical that gives butter its flavour. In fact, it is a byproduct of the fermentation process that is used to make dairy and other products. For example, you will find diacetyl in alcohol. Diacetyl has often been the subject of a recent safety debate around vaping.
One of the leading figures in e-cigarette research found that tobacco, on average, contained 110 times more diacetyl and acetyl propionyl than vape liquids. E-juices that were tested contained minimal levels of both chemicals; not enough to raise health concerns.
What ingredients are in Electric Juice?
Electric Juice e-liquid contains only a few ingredients: vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, and high quality, natural and artificial flavourings. We don’t add any additional or unnecessary flavour enhancers in our e-liquids.
What is propylene glycol?
Propylene glycol is a petroleum byproduct, and it’s one of the ingredients in vape juice that produces the vapour when heated. It’s colourless and odourless, and offers a bit of natural sweetness. The World Health Organization has rated propylene glycol as safe to use.
What is vegetable glycerin?
Vegetable glycerin is—you guessed it—made from vegetables, and it’s what gives your vapour that smooth, thick sensation. It’s much thicker than propylene glycol, so we mix the two to make the liquid easier to handle.
How much nicotine does Electric Juice contain?
Electric Juice contains no nicotine, but can be added if you’d like.
How should I store my e-liquids?
Storing your e-liquids in a cool, dark place away from sunlight is always best. But Electric Juice bottles are opaque so they don’t let in light.
