Guess what the most common litter item in the world is? It’s a cigarette butt. Over 4.5 trillion cigarette butts are discarded worldwide each year. It makes up to 30% of all litter.
In Zürich alone, the Stadtreinigung collects around 9220 tons of wiping material a year, equivalent to the weight of the Eiffel Tower.
Our Responsibility
Protecting and caring for the environment is essential to the way Electric Juice GmbH conduct its business. We focus on the efficient use of resources and on minimising our environmental impact.
Of particular importance is minimizing greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to mitigate climate change and its effects. This contributes to lowering costs associated with climate change and helps us to drive our business forward in a less carbon-intensive future.
Our approach
Whenever possible, we try to support local Swiss businesses and source our materials as close from home as possible. Unfortunately, in today’s global environment, this is not always possible from a cost-efficiency perspective. We own up to this and our supplier choices, but always try to choose the most environmentally friendly shipment methods when producing further away from Switzerland. We use ship freight and road delivery for their lesser carbon-emissions compared to air freight. And we also ensure that our shipments are protected well so that nothing is broken leading to unnecessary re-production. We try to re-use any packaging as much as we can – whether it is as packing material for an employee moving houses or us sending personal parcels to our friends! We truly care and consider what can be done better.
All of our customer-facing packaging material is ordered from a Swiss supplier.
If you vape, be responsible! It is important to dispose of all vape gear properly because unsorted electronic waste contributes to pollution.
We hope that our customers take the time and effort to recycle everything effectively. We love our 🌎.
Special Waste
Should you want to dispose of any special waste such as nicotine or batteries, you should use a special waste bin. You can find one near you using this recycling map: https://recycling-map.ch
